I am getting really excited to get back to a 360 flex event. We have been busy and have not really attended for a few years while 360 was on the west coast. But now that it's so close to home we have no excuse, and I am happy to announce that a few of us here at 9m are making the trip to DC for the event. And not just that, we are sponsoring it as well!
We have been so heads down lately that we have kind of become a little introverted as a company. Not to mention for the last 6 months we have been working on building our new office, and then enjoying our new office by all hanging out together at the bar. So I am really pumped that we are finally getting out to an event to learn, hang and talk shop with others in the Flex community.
I was really happy the other day to get the email letting us know the charity code jam will indeed be happening at this event. Code jam you say? So the code jam is a group of developers getting together during the time of the conference to produce a fully functional small app that will provide some value to a charity. Seth and I took part at 360 San Jose and it was a ton of fun. Check here for an adobe produced video explaining the app we made for the Second Harvest Food Bank (Seth and I make a few late night cameos!),

You get to flex your skill for a cause, meet new people, mentor, and also learn some new tricks from the people you work with. Working everyday with the same team is great, but the second you get paired with random people you start learning new ways to code, debug, manage requirements, wireframe and tons more.
Of course I am excited for all the great speakers and sessions, and I can't wait to refresh my skills. The sessions at 360 have always been seriously in depth compared to other events and there really is always something for everyone. If you haven't signed up I highly recommend sneaking some tickets, get 'em now. Conference is Sept. 19th!
